What this policy covers
Otzar is a goal and progress platform. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Otzar website, create an account, build plans, record Moves, invite others, or create a share card.
Information we collect
Account information. This includes the information used to create and access your account, such as your name, email address, profile image if you add one, and account-verification records.
Your vault and progress records. This includes the goals, milestones, tasks, plans, notes, challenges, and Moves you choose to create, along with related progress and completion history.
Invitations and sharing. If you invite someone, we process the recipient email address when you provide one, the invitation token, and delivery or acceptance status. If you create a share card, we process the card settings and the limited goal, milestone, challenge, or Move information you choose to include.
Technical and usage information. We process information needed to run, secure, and understand the service, such as browser and device information, pages viewed, and feature interactions.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide your vault and planning tools, record progress, deliver invitations and share links you request, maintain and troubleshoot Otzar, understand how the product is used, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Money Moves and future verification
Otzar does not custody funds, initiate transfers, or move money between accounts. Money Moves are records of progress you create in Otzar. Otzar may add read-only financial-data verification features in the future; if it does, we will provide notice that describes the information involved and how that feature works before it is available.
When information is shared
With people you choose. Challenge invitations disclose the challenge details included in the invitation. A share card is available to anyone with its link and displays only the information selected when the card was created. You can create share cards with amounts and display names hidden, and can revoke a share link from Otzar.
With providers that operate Otzar. We use service providers for functions such as hosting, account authentication, invitation delivery, and, when configured, product analytics. They process information as needed to provide those functions.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or the public.
Analytics, cookies, and local storage
When Otzar analytics is configured, it uses cookies and local storage to recognize a browser, measure page views and feature use, and help us improve the product. Otzar also uses browser storage for essential product functionality. Your browser settings may allow you to manage cookies or local storage; changing those settings can affect how Otzar works.
Your choices and policy updates
You choose what to add to your vault, whether to send invitations, and what to include in a share card. We may update this policy as Otzar changes. When we do, we will post the revised policy and update its effective date on this page.
